Breckenridge Snowmobile Rentals give you the opportunity to explore Colorado's pristine backcountry at your own pace, with over 100 miles of marked, groomed trails within the Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area.
Choose to ride single or double aboard a modern fleet of industry leading Ski-Doo machines. Single riders receive the nimble and capable Ski-Doo Renegade 600, while double riders are provided with Ski-Doo Touring Snowmobiles. All machines are equipped with hand warmers for guest comfort.
Whether you venture out on maintained trails or blaze your own, Unguided Snowmobile Rentals allow you to choose the terrain you ride - with limitless opportunities to snowmobile in untouched powder amongst Colorado's highest summits
The Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area offers over 55,000 acres of terrain to explore, with tremendous rental opportunities for experienced and non-experienced riders alike. A private lodge featuring a full-service restaurant serves as the basecamp for your adventure, situated at the foot of the snowmobile trail network.
Rentals are available in 2 Hour, 4 Hour and 8 Hour intervals. Various start times are offered throughout the day, beginning as early as 9:00 am. All machines must be returned by 5:00 pm. Guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled rental start times for check-in.
Helmets are included in the cost of all Breckenridge Snowmobile Rentals with Suits, Boots and Goggles available for an additional charge.

Additional Information:
- Vail Pass Snowmobile Rental prices do not include National Forest Service day use and grooming fee of $20.00 per person.
- Guests must provide their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp. 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended and frequently required during periods of heavy snowfall. Please plan accordingly.
- Peak Season dates include: 11/20/23 – 11/26/23, 12/21/23 – 1/7/24, 1/12/24 –1/14/24, 2/12/24 – 2/19/24 and 3/1/24 – 3/31/24. Please note that 8-hour rentals are not offered during peak times.
- Maps of the trail system are provided. Helmets are provided for each rider.
- Snowsuits, boots, and goggles are available for rent at the time of guest check-in on a first-come, first-served basis. Rates include tax and gas.
- Drivers must be 16 years of age with a valid driver's license in order to operate a rental snowmobile.
- Drivers must be 18 years of age or older in order to carry a passenger.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all Breckenridge Snowmobiling Rentals.
- A signed liability waiver for personal injury is required prior to Vail Pass Snowmobile Rental departure.
- All Snowmobile Rentals are pre-paid at the time of booking and feature a 24-hour cancellation policy.
